While this feature is documented in the owners manual, it is not widely known. Holding down the unlock button on the key fob lowers both front windows about 4 inches. Continuing to hold the button will lower them all the way.
Unfortunately, there is no way to put the windows back up from the remote. If the unlock button is pressed accidentally while in your pocket, you may lower both front windows. This is obviously a security issue, and if it is raining, it could be a problem. If you car automatically relocks (see below), the security system will be armed, but that would not prevent theft by reaching in the open window.
There is an automatic relock feature that works when the car is unlocked from the fob or the handle. If the door is not opened within a short time, the doors are automatically locked. This is a great security feature in the event that the doors are unlocked through an accidental button press in your pocket.
